Sidney McLaughlin

After graduating from CWU, I plan on attending law school where I will recive my Juris Doctor degree. My desired and intended job path is to become a prosecuting attorney, with a specilazation in family law and domestic violence. Once graduting law school, I plan on enlisting full time into the U.S Navy where I will work within the office of the Judge Advocate General Corps as a military attorney. Having been in the Naval reserves for the last five years, I would like a chance to make a difference within my organization and gain critical experince. Later down the line, I would like the opportunity to be an advocate for child welfare and to help reform the foster care program here in the U.S.

I would like to go on to law school after graduating from CWU and attain my Juris Doctor degree. After getting my feet wet in the world of codified law I would like the opportunity to work towards obtainting a Master of Laws degree.

When i'm not reading a good book, I enjoy tending to my plants and my chickens. I enjoy living in Washington State so much because I love being outdoors. I enjoy hunting with my family and backpacking with my friends. In the winter months, you can find me opporating chair lifts up at Mission Ridge and going on snowboarding trips in between work and school! When I need to relax after a stressful week, I enjoy making art when time allows. I enjoy multiple painting mediums and welding with my Grandpa.
