Goals and interests
- Career goal
Being a lifelong student, I am increasingly focused on learning more about public policy and finding ways to channel and translate the scientific language of environmental and ecological research into something comprehensible for the public and reflect it sufficiently to decision makers. The interrelations between public/community health and environmental inequalities are my major concerns, and I believe that such rights should have no national/regional/or neighborhood boundaries. I am deeply invested in and optimistic about the role that planners and community advocates can play to lessen the harms on environmental and human health or to avoid them through informing and educating the public, and advocating for and writing about these issue!
- Graduate school interests
The main areas of my research are: Environmental Justice, Climate Justice, Health Inequalities, Landscape Ecology, Modeling Environmental Health, Spatial-Temporal Analysis of Environmental Health Impacts, Ecological Modeling, Urban Sustainability Assessment, Political Ecology, and Participatory Planning.
