About
I am an Aerospace Engineering student at University of California – Los Angeles. This fall I am starting my Junior year at UCLA. I am a transfer student from Los Angeles Pierce College. I have spent three years at my Community College trying to find my passion and my place in this world by trial and error. My first trial was related to teaching, so while taking general education classes in college, I worked as a teacher assistant in summer camp. When I realized that I am not the best candidate for Kids, I decided to continue to pursue my doctor’s degree that I have started in my country that I came from. I have never liked medical sphere, but I decided that I would love it here. However, it again was a mistake. I have spent two years taking prerequisites for biology major until I realized that I still do not enjoy and like these classes, and that I do not want to be a doctor. My third attempted was successful. I found out that I am interested in physics and astronomy. I loved all lecture and labs of engineering classes, and just in a year finish all prerequisites to transfer with Aerospace Engineering major.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
In my future my main goal is to work as an engineer. I want to build rockets and test flies. Since childhood I found that I am interested in rocket science, but I was never considered myself to actually work in this sphere because there is no such agency as NASA in my country, and if someone wants to work in space field, this person would need to move to other, more developed country – a dream that will never come true for a girl in my country, since no one would ever let me go. That is why right now I do my best while studying and getting these skills, because, I believe, there is no more motivated person than the one who got the opportunity to fulfill one's dream. While doing labs and class projects, I found that I love to create and build incredible things, and I really like to analyze problems with it and improve to increase effectiveness. Therefore, I think, Rockets engineer is the best fit for me. In addition, I will test future flies. I will model all situations that could potentially happen in space and figure out how to avoid, or if they are unavoidable - how to solve them. I truly believe that this is very important job since it saves lives and helps me to contribute in studying the enormous Space.
- Graduate school interests
After my graduation, I hope to complete my degree by getting my master's degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- Outside the classroom
I love reading books. If I found an interesting book, I can forget about sleeping and eating until I finish it. My favorite genre is fantasy. I read and re-read tons of fantasy books, but sometimes I can dilute my library with romance novels, comedies or horror. I read during my free time, between classes and during eating, because I love to dive into the atmosphere of the unknown.
