One year old teacher/ floater at Lake Asbury Learning Center is known for being a reliable and qualified daycare. Here, we prepare children for pre-school and grade school. In the mornings, I ensure the entire facility is clean by completing tasks such as mopping, washing dishes, and taking out the trash. During the afternoons, I serve as a one-year-old teacher and caretaker. I conduct tasks such as reading them books, supervising them on the playground, and changing their diapers.

About

One of my greatest passions is taking care of children. I aim to be a pediatrician as my career to ensure the happiness and health of the future generation of leaders. On Handshake, I am looking for a job that I can do part time during the school year and switch to full time in the summer. I am also looking for a job related to my major field (biology), taking care of children (daycare), or marketing just to name a few. Although these are my preferences, I am open and fluid to any job opportunity. I obtain great leadership, versatility, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is to become a pediatrician.

Graduate school interests

After earning my bachelor's degree, I plan on attending medical school to obtain my doctorate degree. I am undecided on the medical school I would like to attend as of right now.

Outside the classroom

I take an interest in photography. I often take self portraits or pictures in nature around my neighborhood. I also enjoy completing word puzzles because I love to challenge my brain. Lastly, I love to interact with children as much as I can because as a future pediatrician, it is important that I get as much interaction with children as I can to prep for my career.

  • Social Media Assistant/ Sales Representative

At Vector marketing, I served as a virtual sales representative for three months in the summer. Recently, I served as social media manager and receptionist. As a sales representative, I attended weekly advanced trainings to improve my interpersonal skills, conducted one-on-one presentations with customers to showcase products, and kept communication with customers. As a social media manager and receptionist, I am mainly responsible for creatively designing Instagram story posts and sending text messages to my followers to get the word out about the job openings available at Vector. I maintain an open line of communication with anyone who is interested in any positions and answering any questions, they may have about the job or company. I was responsible for calling applicants and booking a time for their interview with my hiring manager.
