About
Sonia Lin is an aspiring geropsychologist and geriatric researcher whose work is driven by a rare, sustained commitment to improving the lives of older adults through both science and service. As an accomplished neuroscience and psychology researcher with co-authored peer-reviewed publications in aging-related molecular mechanisms and hands-on clinical and physiological research experience, she seeks to bridge genetics, neuroscience, AI, and medicine to address age-related cognitive decline with rigor and compassion. Beyond the lab, Sonia is the founder and CEO of NeuroSilver, a rapidly expanding nonprofit that has impacted over 1,000 seniors through intergenerational programming, reflecting her belief that dignity, connection, and empathy are as essential to aging as clinical care. Her extensive community service—spanning elder technology education, music therapy, storytelling, and cultural outreach—demonstrates a heart deeply invested in human connection. A classically trained violinist, composer, multilingual communicator, and visual artist, Sonia’s creative pursuits complement her scientific work, shaping her into a deeply reflective, culturally fluent, and emotionally intelligent leader. Together, her academic excellence, research sophistication, artistic depth, and lifelong dedication to elderly populations position her as a uniquely compelling leader committed to advancing geriatric science with humanity at its core.
