About
I completed Secondary and Higher Secondary education under the West Bengal Government, India, First Division marks.
I finished my B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Zoology with First Divisions under the University of Calcutta, India. I discovered my desire to work for nature conservation and educate people about the same during this time.
It made me join a volunteered internship at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, India.
Following the previous, I joined the Zoological Survey of India, Dehradun, India, as a Junior Research Fellow. I have three original articles published from this project with my first authorship. I received the InSc Young Researcher Award 2021 for one of the articles published during this time.
My interest grew from conserving nature to study the impact of lifestyle disorders on public health. It led me to join the Ph.D. at the Bharathidasan University, Department of Environmental Biotechnology, Tamil Nadu, India.
I enthusiastically spread scientific messages via scientific writings, cartooning in different national newsletters, magazines.
I won a referral contest of the 2020 Global Mental Health Survey in academia organized by Cactus Communications. I encouraged researchers to participate in this survey, voicing a healthy academic environment.
I am a WING Woman ambassador, Kolkata, 2020, via a national workshop promoting the Eastern Indian budding women entrepreneurs, organized by Startup India, KIIT-TBI, and WING.
I am a Global Youth Climate Fellow, advocating the global certification course on Climate Change and Sustainable Development to enhance climate literacy.
I aspire to be an educator in Biological Science sharing knowledge to build a sustainable-minded future generation.
