Stephanie Leigh Parrish

I am currently a second grade teacher at Eufaula Primary School (PK-2) in Eufaula, Alabama. I received my Bachelor's degree (Magna cum Laude) in Elementary Education (K-6) from Flagler College in Tallahassee, Florida in 2003. I was also certified as a (PK-12) Educational Media Specialist in Florida. I spent the first nine years teaching at Port St. Joe Elementary School (PK-6), a Florida Title I school system in Gulf County. I am currently in my twelfth year as an elementary educator.

During my teaching career, I have chaired three years as grade group chairperson, serving one school with four second grade teachers and my current school with thirteen second grade teachers. I am currently the chairperson of both my second grade team and the ELA Curriculum Team. I also am a member of the school BLT (Building Leadership Team) as well as the district technology team. The technology team consists of approximately fifteen educators in the Eufaula City School System.

I am currently in the master's program at Auburn University, receiving a degree in Educational Administration (K-12). I will graduate in spring of 2015, and I plan to begin the doctoral program in Educational Administration thereafter.
