About

At this point in my life gaining the RN (Associates) is paramount to continued success. I plan on bridging from an LVN to RN by the end of this year and have recently accepted appointment with Galen College of Nursing in San Antonio, Texas. Once I obtain my Associates Degree, I will further my education with a blending of a Bachelor/Masters program to obtain my Masters in Nursing Education. I am quite focused and will continue to rely on my assessment skills as well as following God's plan for my life.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to teach new student nurses all the while continuing my Charge Nurse duties at Abilene State Supported Living Center in Abilene, Texas. I have a passion for nursing and will continue with these efforts as long as possible.

Graduate school interests

Unknown, however as time moves closer towards this particular bridge in my life, I shall update my interested choice.

Outside the classroom

Cooking, yard sales, flea markets, repurpose older furniture, reading, teaching, walking, swimming, watching baseball and football and of course volunteering my sign language skills as needed to those in need of interpretation. Now my newest interest will be when my grandchild is born (he/she is expected 9/15/17)
