About
I am currently a full time freshman at The University of Nevada, Reno and my major is Veterinary Medicine. As of right now, I am set to graduate in May of 2019. I am involved in the Pre Vet Club on campus and we learn about the veterinary field and also volunteer within it. After I am finished with my undergraduate schooling, I plan on attending veterinary school. My ultimate goal is to become a veterinarian.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I want to be a small animal Veterinarian and get my speciality in surgery. I want to help the animal I am treating in anyway possible. With this job, I am able to help both the animal and its owner and not many can do this. While I am completing my undergraduate degree at The University of Nevada, Reno, I want to help animals by continuing my volunteer work at veterinary hospitals.
- Graduate school interests
As of right now, I plan on going on to veterinary school after I am finished with my undergraduate degree. Ideally, I would like to get my DVM while also going to school for my Ph.D. The school I am looking at the most right now is Colorado Sate University. CSU offers an eight year program to allow students to obtain their DVM and Ph.D. I would like to be enrolled in this program while going through veterinary school. If I do not get accepted here, I do have my back up schools, but Colorado State University is where I would like to attend the most.
- Outside the classroom
I love traveling, the outdoors, hiking, and riding my horse. I am interesting in studying abroad while I am in vet school. I am very fortunate to be going to school near the mountains. It is a short drive to some great hiking trails and North Lake Tahoe. My absolute favorite hobby is riding my horse. I have been riding since I was about three years old. Being on and around horses is my favorite place to be.
