About

I was born in Long Beach, California. I lived through poverty, gang violence, and abuse. My father divorced and left my mom with my sisters and I. I had low self-esteem, anxiety, and was anti-social. Despite all these setbacks, I found value in education and believed that I can reach my potential through it. Challenges allowed me to experience growth and I grew more confident in my abilities. I developed perseverance whenever obstacles came my way. I joined many leadership opportunities and got involved in my school and church. I believe in Jesus Christ and know that He has a specific purpose for me; He is the reason I am who I am today. I want to contribute to my community and become an independent individual so that I can help support my family financially. My life motto is to embrace every inch of joy that you have in your heart and pass that on to others.
