About
Thalia C. Burgess
My name is Thalia C. Burgess, and I am currently a student at Florida State University, where I am majoring in Neuroscience and maintaining a 3.9 GPA. I am passionate about academic excellence, leadership, service, and the sciences, and I am working toward building a career that will allow me to use my education to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Throughout high school, I demonstrated a strong commitment to both academics and leadership. I served as 2024–2025 Thespian President and Class of 2025 Color Wars Chair, and I was a member of the National Honor Society. I earned the Scholar Diploma Designation and the Bright Futures Medallion Scholarship and challenged myself academically as an AP, AICE, and Dual Enrollment student.
My leadership and involvement also extended to the performing arts. I revived Medical Club and served as President and received the Applause Award twice, including a nomination for lead roles as Hermes in Hadestown and the Lion in The Wiz.
As I continue my education at Florida State University, I am committed to maintaining high academic standards, expanding my knowledge of neuroscience, developing as a leader, and preparing myself for future opportunities in the scientific and healthcare fields. I hope to continue growing through scholarship, service, leadership, and meaningful involvement in my university and community.
