About

I am currently in the second term of my graduate studies in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Health and Science. I absolutely love it so far and am excited by the prospect of earning a Masters or Doctorate in the profession. I am pursuing this field of study to offer acupuncture treatment someday to fellow dancers, athletes, patients in hospital settings (undergoing chemotherapy and/or spinal cord injury patients), and anyone dealing with injury, chronic pain, stress, and anxiety. I am also interested in conducting and engaging in research concerning the benefits of acupuncture on dancers, athletes, patients undergoing chemotherapy, and spinal cord injury patients.

The education at PCHS is the most thorough and accredited in the country, training practitioners of Acupuncture to function as primary, independent healthcare providers, and an integral part of the modern healthcare system. In their “East meets West” environment, students learn and apply the best of Asian medicine with a firm foundation in Western medicine. We explore physiology, etiology, and the diagnostic and treatment systems of Chinese medicine as we learn to model the use of biomedicine in the modern Oriental medicine practice. Additionally the partnerships PCHS has with local NYC institutions will provide me with invaluable internship and externship opportunities, allowing me to explore a variety of career placement options.

My background as a professional dancer, my strong drive to be a healer, and my innate abilities as an empath have prepared me to be a health professional.

As a dancer, I have been practicing and exploring my own personal mind, body, spirit connection since the age of two. I majored in Dance in college, and have been professionally performing in New York City for the past five years. In that time, I have deepened my own personal physical practice, and have been driven to aid others in their journey of discovering the health of their emotions, minds, and bodies that can be accessed through physical expression, physical practices, and physical touch.

After double knee surgery five years ago, the only thing that helped with my pain and inflammation was acupuncture. I want to be able to offer and provide the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of acupuncture for others.

I am the go to person in my dance companies when someone is in pain. Learning about the body, how it connects, and how it’s integrated with various energy systems, is a hobby and life practice of mine.

Additionally, I am an empath and a very good listener, which I think is extremely important when embarking on the oftentimes intimate journey of healing with a client. I am good at making space for people to feel safe and relaxed to allow for deep healing.

Finally, my mother was in an accident two years ago that left her paralyzed from the waist down. I would like to be able to offer aid to her and patients like her.
