About
If there's a word to summarize my life it is amateur. Not in the sense that I don't take everything in my life seriously, but instead in the classical English form. Amateur as in the pursuit of all aspects of education, which include physical and mental pursuits. Whether it be calling 'b-ball' from nearly the day I could speak, making music from a clarinet in our state contending middle school band, or gaining academic honors from the Advanced Placement testing which I excelled at in high school; if there was something that could be done I was trying to do it. All the while understanding that college hinged upon arrival, a time when being an amateur is held sacred. Which made attending college exceedingly shocking, because I found myself ready to be a professional. Exceedingly the conversations I held with friends weren't about partying and girls, but instead about businesses and potential pathways for success. Even struggling to define what success is. A pursuit which has left me with more questions than answers. From which I will continue, attempting to embody the motto which reverberates throughout my school, 'changing the world.'
