About
I am currently a registered nurse in a Level 3 NICU in Scranton, PA. I love what I do and enjoy going to work everyday. I am the mother of 5 beautiful children, one who will be graduating from high school this year, and heading off the college. I am currently enrolled and attending classes in the dual track Pediatric Primary/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at Drexel University. I intent to graduate in the Winter of 2017 and am looking froward to finding my perfect job in my new career path.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to work in the hospital following graduation. Possibly in the Pediatric ICU or something similar.
- Graduate school interests
My interests include research and ethical decision making, along with always doing anything that I can to improve the care that my patients receive. I have just completed a poster project for the AWHONN Emerging Leaders program, focusing on improving the parent-newborn bond in the NICU. I am also the president of an emerging non-profit foundation called Blessings for Billy, which is intended to make resources available for infants that have been affected by brain damage during birth resulting in CP and other issues. We are currently applying for non-profit status and hope to continue our efforts to help as many babies and families as possible.
- Outside the classroom
Between school and work, I can say that there is not much time for hobbies, but I enjoy in my free time, watching my children play sports, taking cruises with my husband and family, working out on my elliptical, playing co-ed softball, and at night reading to relax before bed.
