About

I recently received a promotion as Charge Nurse in the Cardiac Imaging Center at Methodist TexSan hospital in San Antonio, Texas. I'm also a single mother who is strongly motivated in furthering my education and professional nursing career. I look forward to graduating in December from the University of Texas in Arlington with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As this is another stepping stone for my long term goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner.

Thank you,

Valerie Lozano, RN

Career goal

I recently received a promotion and accomplished one of my goals of becoming a charge nurse. I eventually intend on applying for a director of nursing position in the future.

Graduate school interests

My long term goal is to attend a master's program to become a nurse practitioner. This is something that definitely interests me and I will take every necessary step in order to achieve this goal.

Outside the classroom

One of my hobbies is horseback riding and the outdoors. When I'm not working or doing school work, I love to spend time with my 4 year old son and my family.
