About

I am a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. I am currently in my last semester as a Master's Student, earning my degree in Kinesiology. My primary responsibilities involves caring for the Islanders Women's Soccer Team at TAMUCC. I ensure the health and wellness of all my athletes by providing complete care from the time of injury, through the evaluation process, through rehabilitation, to back to play. I schedule and attend all doctor's appointments for my athletes, while also communicating directly with our team of physicians that oversee ailments ranging from the common cold to rheumatoid arthritis, to injuries as simple as an ankle sprain to as severe as a catastrophic injury such as an ACL tear. Further, I schedule and attend all surgeries from check-in to post-op. I ensure that my athletes are cared for at all times, I make myself available for the 24/7, 365. They know that I am always willing to help them no matter the time or day.

Additionally, I work as a Clinical Preceptor to the TAMUCC Islander Undergraduate Athletic Training Program. I have anywhere from 2 to 6 students per semester, who I oversee their athletic training clinical experience. I provide them with hands on experience and examples on how to perform specific skills and techniques in the athletic setting.
