About
With over five years of post-graduate research experience in the academic and federal setting, I am a passionate and strategic professional in the field of public health and policy research. I have investigated topics relating to patient care, human physiology, nutrition science, and policy.
Most recently, I served as the Research Team Project Administrator for Dr. Mozaffarian, Director of the Food Is Medicine Institute at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. I am pursuing my Master of Science in Nutrition Science and Policy at the same institution, with a specific interest in community and global health, health equity, policy, and food security. Currently, I serve as a Research Fellow at the US Army Research Institute within the Military Performance Division, conducting field and in-house human subject research relating to soldier health and physiology.
In addition to my research skills and experience, I am also a certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT). I enjoy applying my knowledge of nutrition science and physiology to help my clients achieve their fitness and wellness objectives. Another area of interest to me is Spanish linguistics and history, as during my undergraduate degree, I minored in this concentration. I enjoy learning about historical and culturally specific traditions of Latin America, as well as practicing my Spanish speaking skills with native speakers, which I find often allows for and promotes positive cross-cultural interactions.
