About

Hi, my name is Viviana. As a first generation student, I'm incredibly passionate about becoming a therapist, and being invited to the honor society is a truly humbling experience. Growing up in a low-income family has certainly presented financial hurdles in pursuing my dreams. While financial aid is a great help, I'm actively seeking employment in any role I qualify for to support my education. I'm also working on improving my driving skills to overcome transportation challenges. Being a first-generation student has always motivated me to break new ground in my family. Despite being born with a learning disability, I've learned to see it as a source of strength and determination rather than a barrier. This resilience fuels my excitement for the psychology field; I find the complexities of the human mind fascinating and am eager to learn how to help others. I'm proud to be a Jaguar at Texas A&M-San Antonio, and it's an honor to be part of an organization I've long admired, I'm ready to contribute and grow.
