About

When I was 30 years old I decided to start a career and go back to college. Having children changes your perspective on education, and I realized I cannot expect my children to go to college and obtain degrees and higher learning if I do not do it myself. I enrolled in classes at Maryville University Saint Louis and began pursuing my degree in Forensic Psychology/Criminal Justice.
Unlike my earlier teen years in school, I found school work to be more intriguing and truly felt a desire to succeed in every class, doing the best work possible and achieving excellence in every class. I try hard in everything I do and I want to set a good example for my children, teaching them if something is worth doing, its worth doing the best you possibly can.
I look forward to completing school, starting a career, and helping others through the study of forensic psychology/criminal justice. I also hope to go to a graduate school and obtain a masters and higher degrees after obtaining a job in my desired field of work.

Goals and interests

Career goal

As a person interested in the human mind, especially the criminal mind, I hope to get a job in the criminal justice field working with criminals. Working with our youth to help them make better choices and give them resources to succeed when they may not have the opportunities is one area that interests me. I also find interest in analyzing and helping inmates so they can improve themselves and find ways to better themselves once they return to society.
Parole or Probation careers are another possibility.

Graduate school interests

Outside the classroom

When not focusing on school work, my hobbies include spending time with my children either on the softball field or doing activities with them at home. I also enjoy listening to music, playing video games, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games.
