About

From humble beginnings, and through passion and hard work, I have found myself at my dream school with what I feel is my calling of becoming a doctor finally within reach! I am a grounded, well-rounded student who is putting myself through college in hopes of making a significant contribution to the Medical community. I am much more than applications and transcripts reveal- my ardor is unmatched, my character is impressive (am I supposed to brag about that?), and I have only scratched the surface with my potential so far. I am looking to network, make an impact wherever I can, and fund my education with minimal debt.

My academic interests include everything but U.S. History, specifically anything involving the human body and mind. I was classically trained on the piano and violin for a decade each, which contributed significantly to both my education and character. I love Philosophy and was captain of my High School Lincoln-Douglass Debate team. Furthermore, during my time at UT I hope to rekindle the LD branch of the Debate team and contribute to my academic community! In my free time, I fill out scholarship applications, fish, and play chess (there is not much free time as a pre-med student).

Goals and interests

Career goal

I have big dreams for the Medical field. First, I intend to complete my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology (as there is that duality to practicing medicine). Along the way, I plan to become involved in clubs, MCAT prep courses, shadowing, etc. in preparation for Medical school; but above all I would love to perform very specific research on neuroscience and help revolutionize the study of brain chemistry on an individual level. Furthermore, I wish to attend Medical school (for what specialty I am so far undecided) and become a doctor. Once I finally graduate, I will pursue my academic interests in preparation to one day teach Medicine and have a hand in raising the next generation of healthcare providers!

Graduate school interests

I am beginning to look at graduate schools, but at the moment my focus is fulfilling the requirements to apply!

Outside the classroom

Piano, violin, guitar, fishing, chess, drawing, reading about Medicine and Philosophy.
