About
I have been in and out of school for the past six years. I have been attending university in and out, in and out, in and out, since 2010, due to many factors. I had a rough journey juggling, personal chronic health problems, death in the family, and dependent mother and younger autistic sister. While Education, is incredibly valuable, life in it of itself is a learning process you can either tough out the learning curb or stay stuck in a rut. My family is irreplaceable, and they have taught me so much, I cannot say I regret taking time off of school to be there to help and support my loved ones, and to reconnect with myself to reanalyze my goals and plans for my future in a more introspective manner. Happy to have been making improvements one day at a time.
One thing is attending university straight out of high school; another is being constantly thrown out in the real world and still maintaining a hunger for knowledge.
There is only so much that a university can teach a person, actually rolling with the punches that life throws at you prepared me for the rest.
Now I find myself at a point in my life where I can integrate both types of knowledge as I encounter and navigate the interdisciplinary approaches to literature. Combining my passion for the artistry of words with cultural intersections of work done by women and minorities.
