About
My name is Yash Varde, and I am a student at the University of Washington Bothell where I am majoring in Computer Science and Software Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. I am also an officer of the Association for Computer Machinery chapter and President of the Math Society at UW Bothell.
I enjoy solving problems and finding solutions that can be beneficial to society. One of the major projects that I have been working on is called "Visability," which is an aid to help the visually impaired get a better idea of their surroundings using a smart white cane, a phone app, and a smart locket. Another one of my projects was a device that could sort candies based on their color.
I really enjoy working with computers and getting them to do tasks that would otherwise be time-consuming for us as humans to perform. I intend to develop more technological solutions to real-world problems and am interested in any opportunities where I can do so.
