Justin Shaffer

To whom it may concern.
Hello, my name is Justin Shaffer and I am a student currently enrolled at Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky. I am majoring in Animal Science and have dreams of working with animals in their natural habitats in order to conduct research on the animal to help conserve them, to help prevent disease outbreaks amongst the population, to protect their habitats or even just to further understand behaviors of the animal. I intend on becomeing a Wildlife Biologist conducting fiield research in order to fulfill this role. In my past I have done a number of things and achieved several accomplishments whether it be the jobs that I have already worked which were generally farms or the accomplishment of getting a Digital Story Telling that I did in the form of a poem which managed to make it into the Smithsonian Art Institute. For the most part when doing volinteer work, I have helped individuals privately in my community with problems like needing help in taking a large silo down by taking it apart screw by screw or assisting a few people with moving to a new home. As for my range of skills, I have done a great deal of hands on labor administering drugs to animals, castration of various species through various methods, dehorning, sales of horses, advertising on the internet, running mechanical equipment, welding, using a plasma cam to complete specific assigned and imagined projects, using photoshop to make digital artworks, managing livestock, showing both hogs and lambs, driving tractors, using tractors to rake hay for bailing, recyling many differet materials, bailing cardboard, building fence, tearing down fence, carpentry, painting and more. As for more personal information about me, I have been described as a genuine, kind, smart, patient and confident person. I am a quick learner who is willing to do so. I love to be outdoors and doing things hands on or that are a challenge to the mind. I love to make a difference in someone's life and it is honestly the best feeling in the world to help someone and just witness their eyes light up with happiness. I also like writing which is the reason for the length of this "Summary" so I apologize if this has put you to sleep. Thank you for your time.
