Cares welcomes applications from prospective and current members experiencing financial hardship. Whether you are studying, working, caring for family, or navigating a change, you can ask to be considered for assistance.
Cares can help reduce the cost of optional premium membership. Our team reviews each application based on financial need, program criteria, and available resources. Assistance is partial, and approval and amounts vary. You can review the premium benefits to decide whether they fit your goals.

What information may be requested?
The application may ask for information that helps our team understand your financial need. Examples include:
- FAFSA-related documentation, such as a Student Aid Index.
- Recent tax returns or pay stubs.
- Documentation from a financial aid office or a similar source.

It is separate from our organizational donations, is not a charitable fund or donation program, and is not affiliated with a charitable foundation. Membership payments are not charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations.
Participation is voluntary. Assistance is partial and depends on financial need, program criteria, and available resources. Approval and specific amounts are not guaranteed. Honor Society® determines eligibility and assistance amounts; decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
