Honor Society® is here to support your growth, recognize your potential, and help you move forward. Our commitment is to make membership useful, clear, and flexible, with you in control of your account.
You can manage or cancel your paid plan at any time. Sign in to review your subscription, explore available participation levels, or turn off future renewal. When you cancel a paid plan, your paid benefits continue through the current billing period and your free membership remains active.

How to cancel your Honor Society® paid plan
You can turn off future renewal directly through your account. Paid plans may also be called premium membership or participation levels.

Sign in to your account
Use the email associated with your paid membership. Open subscription management and sign in. You may be asked to sign in again for security.

Review your active paid plan
Find your subscription in My Account or subscription management. If you are starting from the member dashboard, look for subscription management in the account menu.

Confirm your cancellation
Select the cancellation or stop-billing option and complete the prompts. Review the resulting account status and keep any confirmation for your records.
Can’t find the cancellation option? Make sure you’re using the email associated with the charge. If you still need help, request cancellation assistance from Member Services.
Your access after canceling a paid plan
Canceling paid renewal does not mean you have to leave the Honor Society® community. Here is what to expect:

Future renewal stops
The canceled paid plan will not renew. Review your account to confirm its status.

Your current paid term continues
Cancellation alone does not end the paid benefits remaining in your current billing period.

Free membership remains
Your account returns to free Basic after the paid term. You can keep participating and consider optional paid benefits again later.

Understanding billing, renewal & refunds
Review your renewal details
Paid plans renew automatically unless canceled. Review your account and original checkout terms for your plan’s amount, billing interval, and renewal date. Cancel before the next renewal to prevent the next scheduled charge.
Canceling future renewals and requesting a refund for an existing payment are separate actions.
The 14-day refund window
If you cancel within 14 days of joining a paid plan or its renewal, you may request a full refund of the most recent membership payment. Contact Member Services to make the request; cancellation alone does not submit a refund request.
After 14 days, membership payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. If you believe your circumstances need special consideration, contact Member Services for review.

Can I cancel Honor Society membership online?
Yes. You can cancel your paid plan in your Honor Society account. Open subscription management and complete the cancellation prompts. If you cannot access your account or find the option, Member Services can help through a support request.
How do I stop future Honor Society charges?
Cancel the active paid plan before its next renewal and confirm that cancellation is complete. Check the account associated with the payment. If you see a charge after cancellation, send Member Services the charge date, amount, account email, and any cancellation confirmation so the team can review it.
What if I forgot my password or can’t sign in?
Use the password reset page with the email associated with your account. Check spam and promotions folders for the reset message. If you no longer have access to that email or the reset does not work, ask Member Services for help.
How can I tell whether my cancellation is complete?
Finish all cancellation prompts, then review the subscription status in your account. Keep any confirmation shown or sent to you. If the plan still appears set to renew, or the status is unclear, contact Member Services to verify the cancellation.
Am I still an Honor Society member after canceling?
Yes. Canceling a paid participation level does not close your Honor Society® account. Free membership remains active, and your account returns to free Basic after the paid period. Learn more about free membership and optional upgrades.
Does canceling my paid plan affect scholarship access?
Paid participation level does not determine scholarship access or selection. With active free membership, you can continue exploring Honor Society scholarship opportunities. Review each award’s eligibility rules, application requirements, and deadline. Membership does not guarantee an award.
Does cancellation automatically refund my payment?
No. Cancellation stops future renewals; a refund requires a separate request to Member Services. If you cancel within 14 days of starting or renewing a paid plan, you may request a full refund of that payment. See billing and refund details above.
What should I do if I don’t recognize a charge?
Check your email for a receipt and review any membership or purchase associated with your household. For help identifying a charge, send Member Services the date, amount, possible account email, and the last four card digits if available. Do not send a full card number or password. How do I close my Honor Society account completely?
Contact Member Services with your full name and account email, and state that you want full account closure. If you also have an active paid plan, include your request to stop its renewal. Canceling a paid plan by itself leaves free membership active. See our Privacy Policy for information about personal data.
Does unsubscribing from email cancel my paid plan?
Email preferences and paid subscription settings serve different purposes. To stop renewal charges, cancel the paid plan in your account or request help from Member Services. Use the unsubscribe option in marketing emails to manage those messages.
Can I change plans or add paid benefits again later?
Yes. You can review available participation levels in your account and choose a paid option again later. If you would prefer a lower level, review the options and billing terms before confirming a change. You can also keep free membership.
Does this page cancel membership in another honor society?
This page applies to Honor Society® accounts at HonorSociety.org. If your membership or charge is from a different organization, use that organization’s account and support channels.
