The Fulbright Grant provides one year of academic study or independent research in one of 100 nations. The study should be at the post-baccalaureate or graduate level. Recipients receive a stipend, round-trip travel, university expenses, and health insurance for one academic year abroad. To be eligible, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, hold at least a bachelor's degree at the time of the award, and have sufficient proficiency in the language of the host country to carry out graduate-level academic work in their discipline.
