The NNEMS program is a comprehensive fellowship program that provides undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to participate in a fellowship project that is directly related to an environmental issue or an environmental field of study. The purpose of the program is to help defray the costs associated with the pursuit of academic programs related to the field of environmental protection, such as pollution control, science, engineering, technology, social science, and specialty areas. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, must be enrolled in an accredited university, and must be pursuing an educational program directly related to pollution control or environmental protection for the duration of the fellowship.
