About
I plan to become a Certified Rehabilitation of Disability Counselor immediately after graduating with with my masters in Rehabilitation Studies in 2017. I graduated with my Undergraduate degree in Rehab Studies from the University of North Texas in May of 2015 and I fell in love with the program. I knew there was no way I was going to be satisfied without continuing my education so that I could become certified. After finishing my degree and obtaining my certification, I'd really like to get the 3000 hours of on the job Counseling experience that it takes to become Licensed in the State of Texas as a Professional Counselor. My eventual goal is to open my own Vocational Practice for people with disabilities, so that I can not only help them find jobs, which will inadvertently help them to gain a better perspective on their circumstances; but I'll also be a licensed Counselor at that point so I'll be able to Counsel them through any other trials that they might be going through.
