About
I am a student currently at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I started my college education at Florida State University. When I began classes there I was very unsure with what I wanted to do with my life and ended up spending two years unfocused and undetermined to learn or go to class. I took two year sabbatical, where I moved all around the world trying new things from skiing an entire season in Vail Colorado or teaching scuba diving on an island off the coast of Thailand. When I applied to CU and was accepted, it became clear to me that I was ready to learn. The time off taught me so much about myself and how valuable education can be. I love going to class, participating in school and genuinely love learning. The anthropology department at CU has some of the best outlets for me to further pursue my interests in all the different people and cultures around the world. I love to travel and experience new things. With work, school, and travel, my friends either ask me how I have time to do all this or simply call me "ridiculous", but I can honestly say I would not do life any other way.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I hope to one day be a teacher for kids with behavioral issues. I believe that kids are the most honest human beings and represent our future; I would love to help shape these minds. I want to work with kids who have had rough upbringings or little to no family support. I would love this aspect of the work because I would love to show them people really do care about them.
- Outside the classroom
I love to travel and explore the different cultures around the world! I am always on the move during long breaks from school or short weekends. I love to read great books with wonderful description and story; my favorite being "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime". Nothing is better than curling up by the fire place and watching a great documentary or reading a great book. I play on a volleyball team with my mom and pick up soccer games whenever I can. I hike as much as possibly and love to explore off the beaten path. Scuba diving is my passion. I want to be a teacher so I enjoy volunteering with local elementary schools. It sounds corny, but I love to laugh. Spending everyday to the fullest and discovering all the little aspects of the world is what I try to live by.
