Goals and interests

Career goal

My plan is to obtain my degree to practice psychiatry (if need be), but I would prefer to work as a psychologist. I would like to begin working in a clinic in order to gain experience. Beyond that, I have the intention of opening my own clinic. I encourage a collaboration of positive psychology and traditional psychology in order to overcome the obstacles disorders inflict upon individuals.

Outside the classroom

I thoroughly enjoy engaging in activities that uplift one's spirits: yoga, exercise, and meditation. Any activity outdoors I enjoy: hiking, kayaking, canoeing, camping and going for walks. I love to read various genres of literature: Shakespeare, autobiographies, mysteries, science fiction, poetry and nonfiction. I also enjoy traveling and attending concerts/festivals. I enjoy making jewelry, writing poetry and dancing. Any socially interactive activity intrigues me immensely.
