About
My Multifaceted Background: Growing up in Nebraska gave me a strong foundation of family and faith, as well as a strong work ethic and that good ol' down-to-earth attitude. Living in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans gave me a heart of empathy and a passion to help those in need. Finishing my high school career and starting my college career in colorful Colorado has allowed me to live a life beyond my wildest dreams... full of exciting adventures, unique opportunities and great friends.
Mission: My mission is to use my natural talents, abilities and passions to empower women world-wide.
Key Goals: My key goals are to excel in college, take advantage of the opportunities given to me, and impact lives through the education and experiences I've been honored to receive. My desire is to give back to the community and world and share what I've been given through philanthropic activities.
My Top Three Values are Integrity, Commitment and Mindfulness. My Top Three Strengths are Attention to detail, Strong Negotiation skills and Competence. My Top Three Skills are Information Management, Written Communication and Organization.
And my #1 skill that has nothing to do with my business degree but everything to do with being successful in a business career is Networking (AKA... socializing with friends and being proficient on social media!)

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to pursue learning different types of business to determine what type of job I will be best suited for. My strengths are working with data, numbers, and finances with complete accuracy and attention to detail. I am also exceptionally skilled with written communication and the ability to verbally articulate important matters. I spent most of my life doing volunteer projects in different communities and caught a vision for helping others. My ideal job would be to use my business degree to empower women in the community, whether it is in the United States or in an impoverished country. Perhaps someday I will run a company whose mission is to teach women in other countries how to provide for their families through sewing, gardening, building, and creating and selling crafts.
- Graduate school interests
I am considering Graduate School. It is contingent upon where my internships, experiences and study-abroad opportunities in undergrad take me.
- Outside the classroom
One of my greatest strengths, which also happens to be a hobby of mine, is networking. I love having a social life, interacting with people, and hanging out with my friends. I am able to maintain a good balance of both studying and socializing. In my spare time, I like to read, exercise, spend time outdoors and do crafts. I also like to participate in volunteer activities in the community.
