About

My name is Ashanti Tucker. I am 20 years old and I am currently a senior at the University of Central Florida. I will be graduating in the spring of 2017 with my Bachelors in Health Science Pre-Clincal. After graduation I plan to start a doctorate program for Physical Therapy. When I started volunteering at different locations, I knew helping others was something I wanted to do in my life. After some thinking, I came to realize that physical therapy was what I was meant to do. I love being able to help others and when I become a Physical Therapists, I will be able to share my gift with those in need. Outside of my school work, I enjoy playing volleyball and trying different foods. It is my dream to travel all across the world and experience the different cultures, as well as try all the different foods the country has to offer.

Goals and interests

Career goal

After graduating from doctorate school, my plan is to join the military and start working as a physical therapist. After a few years in the military, I want to open my own physical therapy practice in hopes to treat children with different disabilities. I want to bring other professions into my practice in hopes that me and the other professionals can provide our patients with the optimal care and treatment that they need.

Graduate school interests

After completing my bachelors, I plan to attend doctorate school for physical therapy. I do not have a specific school in which I want to attend and will be applying to multiple grad schools.

Outside the classroom

I have many different hobbies, however my favorite hobbies are trying new foods, playing volleyball, and traveling. Although I have only been to a few places, after doctorate school, I would like to travel to Puerto Rico, Spain, Europe, Dominican Republic, and Thailand.
