Nathanael Dunn

Nathanael is from Rowlett, Texas where he attends Rowlett High School. He is currently an Upperclassman and is a 4th year member of the Rowlett Mighty Eagle Band, as a percussionist. He is part of the Drumline for Marching Band and is Section Leader for the Bass Section. During Concert season he participates as the Drummer for Jazz Band, in Honor Band and Concert Band (where he received the “MEB Outstanding Percussion for Concert Band” Award for 2014-2015). At the beginning of his junior school year; the Band transitioned under the direction of Mr. Art Ruangtip, Band Director. The previous Band Directors, his Freshman/Sophomore year were Mr. Phil Alvarado and Mr. Ben Sumrak.
In addition to a very busy Band schedule, he manages a very heavy class load which include AP classes; with a focus in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. He is also in the High School Dual Credit Program, where he will have earned college credits upon high school graduation. Scoring well on the TSI, he ranked in the Top 10 among his peers who also took the test. Based on his outstanding academic achievement and AP coursework, he was selected and is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) as well as the Honor Society.
Nathanael is an active member and volunteer in his local Church and Community. He is a Mentor and staff member on two of the Ministries within his Church. He participates in community programs, one being the Rowlett Police Department Teen Academy, where he received a Certificate of Achievement.
