About

My name is Courtney Roberts and I am a twenty-two year-old grad student at UNC Pembroke. I am also a Graduate Assistant pitching coach for the women's softball team. I am very driven, focused, mature, and responsible. I am incredibly driven in my academics and do not settle for "B work." I love to laugh, spend time in nature, paint, read and enjoy my four year-old tabby cat named Guinness.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I would like to pursue a short career as a pitching coach at the Division I collegiate level. My passion for the game of softball is very high, as well as my knowledge of the game regarding pitching. Since I was a pitcher for a Division I collegiate team, I know what it takes to train and prepare pitchers for what is to come. After I satisfy my need to coach, I will then transition into an administrative roll in collegiate athletics. My goal is to one day climb the ladder and become an Athletic Director at a Division I university.

Graduate school interests

Currently my interests are my academics and my roll as a Graduate Assistant Pitching coach for UNC Pembroke's Women's Softball team. My academics are my main priority and I take pride in succeeding and giving my grades the upmost effort. My job is also very important to me, as I love to teach and influence my athletes in their everyday lives. It is wonderful to be able to have the opportunity to be apart of something that is so beyond yourself. Learning how a team functions and how a staff of four coaches can lead twenty girls is an incredible experience and very rewarding.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and creating. I received my bachelor's degree in Studio Art at Campbell University, so creating and using my artistic abilities is very therapeutic for me.
