About
My name is Kassidy McCabe, I graduated at College Station High School in May of 2016. At Tarleton State I am a member of the lady TexAnns Volleyball team and was accepted into the Honors Core program to advance my education. I am majoring in Agricultural Services and Development with an emphasis in horticulture. In High School Horticulture suddenly took over my life plans of becoming an architect. I hope to either run my own nursery or combine my passions and be a landscape architect in my future.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Taking the floral class at College Station High School was life changing. I only took the class because it was going to count as my art credit. Before long my floral teacher recruited me to be on the CDE Floriculture team. It was fun at first because I love doing new things. After awhile it became a little bit of an obsession; making flash cards, pressing plants, and visiting nurseries in my spare time as well as on family vacations. The following year I took problems and solutions in Agriculture at my school so I could continue to compete in the competitions. That year I was named team captain and placed 12th at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This year I am in problems and solutions 2. As captain this year my teacher and I have worked hard to put together a strong competitions team. This obsession has played a huge part in my educational plans at Tarleton State I am going to major in Agricultural Services and Development with a concentration on Horticulture.
- Graduate school interests
I believe that the advanced academic knowledge gained in grad school is highly beneficial to students and I plan to remain in the Texas A&M system in order to achieve that.
- Outside the classroom
My favorite hobbies are volleyball, family traveling to see the world, and gaining more knowledge in horticulture or helping others learn more.
