About
I am currently pursuing my MBA degree at the Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua City, China and will graduate in July 2018.
My relevant course work includes: Marketing, Financial Accounting, International Trade, International Commercial Law,International Finance, Human Resource Management, Operation Management, International Business Negotiation, International Investment, Managerial Economics, Globalization and Corporate Social Responsibility. All of these tend to solidify my keen interest in working for any UN organization, banking or teaching.
I was born in Ghana and had my undergraduate education at the University of Cape Coast, where I obtained a Bachelor of Education degree in English. During my undergraduate studies, I was introduced to courses such as Philosophy, Educational Psychology, French and others. These courses did not only prepare me for teaching field but also presented a practical springboard for my development. For about five years in the Education Sector, I have taught students the structure and content of the English Language, including proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure. I utilized curricula that reflected the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served. I also managed student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures. Meanwhile, benefiting from the systematic and rigorous training and experience in teaching, I have considerably enhanced my analytical skills, which gradually permitted me to grasp the essence of the matter amidst apparently complicated business issues. All of these built my interest to further my education in Business Administration in China.
During my undergraduate program, my academic commitment did not in the least affect my extensive extracurricular involvements. On the contrary, those involvements served to develop my management capacity, interpersonal communication and teamwork. I was a librarian of our Institute’s library, taking care and managing journals.. I was the chief debater of our Department’s Debate Team and by working closely with my team members, we won the first prize in our Institute for two consecutive years.
I possess good communication skills. I can communicate clearly and succinctly, both orally and in writing in English , French and Chinese. In addition, I have very good skills in using information technology with an ability to learn new technology systems. From my previous work experience in teaching I have acquired the key skills of applying innovative methods and quality customer service professionally.I am a great team player and natural leader with desire to adapt, listen, learn to be criticized and be creative.
I am working hard and looking forward to a future employment with the Banking industry, UN organizations, NGOs and other humanitarian sectors where my professional and educational abilities can be fully utilized.
I believe that working and meeting with people from diverse cultures will enhance my diverse-cultural, team working and Leadership skills, useful for a future career or partnership in an international setting.
More importantly, my membership with Honor Society will be vital to helping me work hard to achieve my objectives whilst presenting a practical springboard for my development as a Business Administration Student.
In future, I look forward to an opportunity to study International Relations, a course I love so much.
