About

Through adversity , homelessness, alcoholism, and mental health disorders, I have continued to work hard and continue my education. It was imperative to undergo a double maxillofacial reconstruction surgery , which triggered the addiction. Not knowing what was happening , and in and out of terrible situations, I eventually was liberated when I went into treatment and found out what I had was the disease of the addiction, and life has been so much easier to handle (one day at a time). I know have over a year and seven months of recovery. As a first generation college student in my family, I know how far education will take you and so I have always tried to make it my top priority despite external and internal obstacles.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My desired job would be in the government. However, I am keeping my options open and continue to network in the South Florida Paralegal Association and get the members' opinions and feedback.

Graduate school interests

I do not think I can afford Grad school. In a perfect world, I would love to pursue law school and become an attorney. I will continue to work hard , knowing what I am doing today seemed impossible once.
