Andrea Franco

I am currently a Marketing major at the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas. I plan to transfer to the University of Las Vegas in January 2021. I am studying to be a marketing executive and I plan to start my own marketing firm. My parents came from South America on work Visas and eventually got their citizenship shortly before I was born. My mother is an accountant for a timeshare company and my father is a pilot/entrepreneur who has owned many businesses from restaurants to auto mechanic shops. My parents instilled a strong work ethic in me from a very young age and taught me that through hard work and perseverance I could accomplish even the largest of goals. In high school, I was president of my senior class, gave many presentations at multiple National Student Government Summits, participated in tennis, volleyball, and golf and I graduated with advanced honors. I carried my ambitions to lead throughout my current college career by being an active member of my school's national honor society, and by tutoring students in my free time. I also currently manage multiple social media accounts in order to sharpen my marketing abilities. I believe that the true nature of marketing in today's day is to cultivate positive change in the world by promoting brands that support beneficial causes and that is exactly what I plan to do in my career.
