About
Space is my passion. Working towards advancement of humans in space exploration is what wakes me up every morning. I am currently working on an astrobiology project to obtain a PhD at Washington State University. My prime interests lie towards exploration of space to gain knowledge about the origins of life in the Universe and utilizing biology, engineering and design towards habitation of humans in space and extra terrestrial environments. I gained a bachelor's degree from Bangalore University, with major in biotechnology and minors in biochemistry and genetics; and a master's in applied biomolecular technology from University of Nottingham in United Kingdom. Following which I have worked at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Germany and the German Aerospace Center as a visiting scientist. I attended Singularity University (Moffett Field, CA) in the summer of 2013 for their global solutions program as one of the 80 candidates selected from around the world. In summer of 2015, I got the opportunity to be a visiting scientist at NASA Ames Research Center in California. I am also an earth science instructor at Washington State University.
