Valeriia Syrovatska

I am currently pursuing a Master's of Sciences degree in Biotechnology at Brown University. I did my Bachelor's degree in Premedical and Health Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University, where I also minored in Health Psychology and Nutrition. My interests evolved over the years, as I originally wanted to apply to medical school straight from college. However, I developed an interest in research which made me decide to complete a Master's degree prior to beginning my medical school journey. For my research project, I am interested in the effect of electronic nicotine delivery systems on cell death on a protein level. As a future medical professional, I feel particularly passionate about this topic and believe that vaping is one of the major public health concerns in modern society.
