About

Hi, my name is Jason Lee and I am a multimedia designer. Ever since I was a child, I have always been drawn to art and computers. Using this passion to creatively explore my interests as an adult, I decided to choose a career path which suited my inner soul. Taking any class I could find in high school that even remotely dealt with either of my two favorite subjects, has definitely prepared me for the occupation of my choice. As a multimedia designer, not only do I get the chance to design wonderful mockups for print or web applications, I have also been fortunate enough with my program to learn other valuable skills like web design, video editing, and animation both in 2D & 3D. Utilizing my former management experience and skills from work as a project manager for Washington State University Vancouver's (WSUV) Creative Media and Digital Culture (CMDC) program, my dedication and knowledge of both digital media and electronic literature has allowed me to represent both my school and our program at various exhibits throughout the U.S., including the Library of Congress in 2013. I am truly gracious to have found such a wonderful program which inspires students to participate and grow as individuals. With the opportunities I have been given through college, I plan to become the first person in my family to achieve a Bachelors Degree, so I can help other people like my community has done for me.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan on using my video editing, photography, web design, and animation skills to further explore my creative side. Be that as a web developer, animator or graphic designer, my goal is to gain as much experience as possible to further my transferable skills in the workplace. Eventually, I would like to own a personal business where I can use my knowledge and skills to provide a service to my community.

Graduate school interests

Washington State University's Vancouver campus is working on extending their current Digital Technology and Culture (DTC) program, which would be nice since it is local. However, by traveling to various exhibits like the Modern Language of Art's (MLA) convention both in Boston and Chicago, I have been introduced to a wide variety of professors running graduate programs all over the world. Therefore, I am currently reasarching a graduate program that promotes a creative, unique, and challenging enviornment in which to grow from.
