About

I have supported and have led classrooms for the last 15 years. I have decided that I have a larger passion than staying in one classroom. Through learning UX, my next career will include working within educational technology, reaching as many educators and classrooms as possible. I will be working alongside educators and advocating how to fix their pain points and meet their needs to ensure that what is being purchased is meeting their expectations.

Volunteering

  • Sunbeam Kids, Inc. is a volunteer driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated organizing projects and providing resources to make it easier for kids and families to volunteer together. We plan an average of 3 projects per month that benefit people & organizations in the Milwaukee Area but we also love to share family friendly volunteer ideas with groups, troups, teams, and classes to make it easy for you to plan your own projects. Getting kids involved in the community outside of their own neighborhood and school can build life skills like thinking broadly, being inclusive, building empathy, and being solution oriented skills. All are welcome here!

  • This successful program has had growth of Kids in the Kitchen for all fourth-graders in the Eau Claire Area School District. This partnership will ensure the future of the KITK program in our community and allows for continued support for students and schools in the fight against childhood obesity. My role was to be a volunteer and cook to show children how to make easy recipes that they can take home and recreate.
