Howard Carter

In the year of 2020, I received my rank of Eagle Scout and became a member of the National Eagle Scout Association in 2020. I am currently an Assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 233. I furthermore earned have earned my Brotherhood in Boy Scouts for Order of the Arrow last year. I have done at least 200 hours of service for my Troop and will continue my commitment to community through Boy Scout events. Several of these activities are Wreaths Across America, putting flags on Veteran's graves for Memorial Day, Nolin Lake yearly clean up, church events, troop fundraisers and Eagle Scout projects. I recently became a member and am currently a diver of the Hart County search and rescue unit.

While I was in high school, I was a member of the Republican Club, Beta Club in addition to being a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field team. I participated in Beta Club for seven years. As a member of the Beta Club, I completed 90 hours of community service. I helped at school, sporting events, church events, Feeding America, and other community events. In the Republican club, I served as a Sergeant of Arms. During my senior year in high school, I was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. I was also on the honor roll my entire High School career. I graduated with a 3.94 GPA and earned marketing and administrative pathway certificates.
For Cross Country and Track and field, I received a letter most years. I additionally received first place in the 2x200 and the 2x50 at state for Track and Field last school year. Lastly, in the past several years, I have been learning how to scuba dive. In 2020, I obtained my open-water diver certification. I plan to continue improving my scuba diving skills and obtaining an advanced scuba diving certification. I am working toward become a dive master and then a scuba instructor. This year I became a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and have received a Leadership for excellence award from the U.S. Army at Fort Knox. I currently have a 3.5 GPA at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. I am currently volunteering for Hart County search and rescue to help in the community and obtain more scuba diving certifications to advance my education. At Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and The Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement. I got first in the 200m for track and field and second in 100m.
