About

Hello,
My name is Angela S. Kauffman. I am a graduate student pursuing my Master's. I will be finished with my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in July of 2014. I have also begun Doctoral classes towards my Ed.D. in Curriculum and Leadership. I hope to be finished with it by July of 2017. Currently, I teach Reading to at-risk fourth and fifth grade students in Americus, Georgia at Sumter County Elementary School. I have been teaching public school for eighteen years and I love to work with students.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I hope to eventually place myself through education in a position where I could be an academic coach, administrator, college professor, or in some sort of leadership position where I could help prospective education students before they enter the teaching field.

Graduate school interests

I am very interested in how leaders in schools can plan professional learning in a more strategic way as to be able to lead teachers individually in improving their instructional strategies.

Outside the classroom

I love to sing and have led music for the worship team at Cornerstone Nondenominational Church in Americus, Georgia for six years. I love to exercise. I have taught exercise at a local gym since 1995. I have a wonderful husband, Roland, and two beautiful daughter, Tori (12) and Emily (7). I love to spend time at home with them when I am not studying for graduate courses.
