About
This is from my first semester of Graduate School at the University of Oklahoma in which, as a Full-time student, I maintained a straight A average. My major is Prevention Science. I plan to complete my LADC certification in year two of my Graduate journey en route to becoming a Substance Abuse Counselor. I believe my years as an active alcoholic myself will prove invaluable in counseling situations. I have been sober since December 9, 2015.

Learning more about the "Prevention" side of treatment for addiction rather than just the treatment of the disease "in bloom". Recognizing tendencies, roots of and trauma before they take hold and lead to active addiction is key to battling the disease in Addiction Counseling.
