About
I am an undergraduate student at Arizona State University studying Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Global Health and Health Innovation, and I also have a minor in Spanish. In the future, I hope to attend graduate school to study Public Health or Health Administration. I have always been interested in the health field and in high school I was a part of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). I also took a certified nurse assisting course in high school and was able to earn my certification. Now, I am learning more about health on a global scale and I am a current member of Global Public Health Brigades. We recently traveled to Honduras and helped build basic infrastructure to reduce the chances of preventable diseases and also conducted a health education class for the local school to encourage the children to practice healthy behaviors in their homes. I also plan to participate in the India study abroad program that Arizona State offers which involves developing and delivering AIDS education and prevention to several different teaching sites in the community there.
