Antonio Jose Borges Leal

I am a senior student-athlete at Chicago State University majoring in business management with a minor degree in psychology. Extremely motivated to learn new abilities, constantly looking for improvements professionally. I have a passion for human relation and helping others.

Before coming to the US, and leaving my family behind to pursue a dream, I worked in different places (notary public services, financial company, generator service's company), but, so far, nothing have taught me more than my experience as a student-athlete. As an athlete you learn how to work in a team, to be accountable, and most importantly to be disciplined; you have to keep up with your responsibilities not only as an athlete but also as a student (after all, you are a student before you are an athlete). As an athlete I was happy to be awarded with All-American title, and second top striker of the NJCAA back to back. Also, as a student, I was able to achieve my goals and finally joining an Honor Society as a result of my academic achievements.

Overall, I believe this is just the beginning. So far, I was able to mold my character in a way I will always strive to be better and do things the best way I can. I do not expect anything less than giving my best and help the people around me wherever I will be.
