Goals and interests

Career goal

I aspire to pursue a career in state-level politics, leveraging my knowledge and expertise in three key areas: juvenile delinquency, higher education in prison, and the psychological impact of violence and unresolved trauma on the Black community affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With a strong passion for addressing these critical issues, I aim to make a positive and lasting impact on policy development and advocacy at the state level.

Graduate school interests

In my pursuit of graduate studies, my primary focus is on successfully defending my dissertation. This crucial milestone signifies the culmination of extensive research and scholarly work in my chosen field. With unwavering dedication and commitment, I am determined to present a compelling dissertation that contributes to the existing body of knowledge in my area of study.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies revolve around two core values: family appreciation and community empowerment. I find joy in spending quality time with my loved ones, cherishing the bonds we share and creating lasting memories. Additionally, I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact in my community by actively engaging in initiatives that uplift and empower individuals. Moreover, I nurture my spirit through travel, which allows me to broaden my perspectives and immerse myself in diverse cultures. Finally, I find balance and inner peace through practicing yoga and maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a focus on fitness. These hobbies fuel my personal growth and bring a sense of fulfillment to my life.
