Alicia Gutierrez

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for the last 17 years and I currently work at a chiropractor office. I went to massage school when I was younger because I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up so I decided to find a trade. I absolutely fell in love with how much I help others on a daily basis. During this time I went to Community College off and on and earned my Associates Degree. I always knew I wanted to complete my bachelor's and beyond, but I let life get in the way. I have been married for 17 years and we have a 16 year old son and what we call "God's Humor" that is our 5 year old daughter. I struggled with a hard 2 years before this last year when I picked my self up and decided it was time for me to accomplish my goals. In the process I went back to college to obtain my Bachelor's in Psychology with the mindset of helping others. I have been through many life tragedies and I feel that my story would resonate with many others. I always get asked what I wanted to do after I get my degree and my answer was whatever door opens that's the door I will walk through. Recently the door to Chiropractic School opened and I feel that this is the journey that was meant for me. I had thought about Chiropractic school when I was younger, but I just didn't have the confidence nor the mindset to push myself to do it. I am now determined to follow this path that has been laid out for me while also remaining a dedicated wife and mother. It will not be easy, but no matter what I will get it done!
