About

Upon matriculation at Chico State University, my intended major was Construction Management, a program with a great reputation. Considering construction as a career, I traveled frequently to Kauai, where my uncle owns a construction company. With two years of exposure and experience in construction, I have reconsidered my field of choice and am now focused on pursuing my major in Exercise Physiology, and career in Physical Therapy.

During last summer in Kauai, my uncle and I discussed my move in majors. He knows of a lady that is a physical therapist in Kauai, so I set up an internship for that winter. During the internship I shadowed her to get first-hand experience in the field.

I recognize I am fortunate to have been able to create these opportunities in Kauai each break, and with the endearing support of my family, I will be allowed to thrive, help, and give back.

In addition to my internship, I am part of an Exercise Physiology Club, a club that plans for post graduate work, and helps in the community. I have walked to raise awareness for my roommates grandmother who has Alzheimer's, and I have raised money for The Ronald McDonald House for kids with cancer playing 3 on 3 basketball. I also take part in cleaning up the community regularly.

I know my future is within serving people and I look forward to my future!
